Doubling Farmers' Income (DFI) is a flagship initiative of the Indian Government, which targets the doubling of farmers' income by 2022, to create an optimum remunerative value chain ecosystem for the farmers. It is estimated that an annual growth rate of 10.41% in farmers' income is required for their income to double between 2015-16 and 2022-23.

Organic Mandya was started with the objective of helping farmers create a self-sufficient lifestyle by adopting chemical-free farming. However, the market at the time proved insufficient for the farmers that took up the initiative, so Organic Mandya’s sales platform was put into place. After the first organic farmers supermarket in Mandya, the brand today owns and operates about seven of them across Mandya and Bangalore.
Farmers' produce is bought at a premium rate by Organic Mandya, processed, and then packaged in a premium manner to be sold across Mandya’s Supermarkets. Not only does it provide financial gain to poor farmers, but also helps urban dwellers repair their lost ties with the farmers that grow their food.

Intello Labs has digitized food quality assessments across fresh produce supply chains, in order to ensure that a food item’s price means its quality is on par. The digitization has made the system more cost-effective, it’s standardized and accurate, and is faster and scalable.
The Intello Track smartphone app lets users click a picture of the commodity they’re buying and see its freshness details stored online. This setup uses deep learning and computer vision , the only requirement is a smart phone with a 10 MP or more camera. Intello Deep meanwhile is a handheld scanner that checks factors like dry matter, moisture, and pesticide residue.
It allows people to stay healthier by buying fresh food and can also help stores pinpoint and cycle out old stock.
IntelloLabs won the Innovative AI Startup Award by Nasscom & Mphasis in 2019. They’re also the agriculture sector winner in the "AI for Good" program by NASSCOM and the Government of Karnataka.

Toddy tappers have begun to move on from the tedious and risky job to easier and better-paying ones, creating an acute shortage of tappers for the coco-sap processing industries. SAPER instead automates the process of tapping and collection of sap, controlled via a wireless network powered by solar electricity. It’s a completely self-contained farm solution.
SAPER is the world’s first robotic coconut sap tapping device which can replicate all the tedious tasks done by a tapper. Minimum training is required for the new job opportunities it will generate in rural areas in the post-processing of the sap (neera). The product also works on solar energy throughout its lifetime, leaving zero carbon footprint.

Cornext Agri Products Private Limited

Cornext is a startup addressing the green fodder shortage in India caused by the reduction in grazing lands and inconsistent crop practices. Cornext preserves green fodder when available, in the form of silage. During a shortage, these silage bales cater to a larger number of dairy farmers across the country.
Silage baling is a process of compacting chopped and inoculated maize crop, tightly wrapped with UV-protected recyclable film. This way it retains moisture for up to 12 months, meaning green fodder is then available all year. Aside from improving the health and milk yield of cattle, this technology also makes it easier to store and transport fodder.
Cornext received the 2019 Animal Husbandry Grand Challenge Award from the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. The Andhra Pradesh Government has also partnered with Cornext to draft the Fodder Security Policy.
