Breathe's approach tackles pollution concerns while producing compounds with additional value, such as methanol, in response to the global increase in CO2 levels that is causing environmental issues. Their system uses four integrated sub-technologies for carbon capture, hydrogen production, catalytic CO2 reduction, and product purification. It runs at a moderate temperature and pressure.

To put it simply, a significant amount of agricultural waste, particularly from coconut farms, is incinerated daily. Simultaneously, trees are felled for fuel, including cooking and barbecues.

Product

The industry of wood charcoal briquettes has generated more than USD 28 bn in sales annually worldwide. It's easy to ignore the enormous number of trees that are annually sacrificed to produce charcoal, among such startling statistics. GreenViro began as a small idea motivated by a desire to return some of our planet's favor. Through their project, tons of agricultural waste from large-scale coconut farms in southern India are recycled and turned into valuable charcoal. Their novel method produces charcoal with three times less energy use and carbon dioxide emissions. If the company’s product is widely used, it could drastically lessen the need to remove virgin forests to produce charcoal. This solution addresses two crucial objectives: easing the burden on farmers in managing agricultural waste and offering the public a guilt-free, superior barbecue experience.
