I left the corporate world after 22 years in service to start my passion project, a pet services organization. The idea was to address the unmet needs of pet dogs in urban areas. That's how Rocks and Pebbles was born. Rocks and Pebbles is the brand name for the Dog Play School and Boarding. The company name is Tara Sitara Pet Services LLP.
We feel that the needs of the pets are assumed to be secondary to those of humans and the human family. The products and services are geared towards making life comfortable for humans and making the pet fit in the human’s world. The space where the pet’s needs are specifically addressed still does not have enough players. Tara Sitara Pet Services (hereafter called TaraSitara) wants to address this for the dogs. One of the major aspects here is the dog’s need for an environment where they can be dogs—an environment that is built to meet their needs as per their natural behaviour (ethology). We are doing this through our Dog Park and Boarding (Rocks and Pebbles Dog Park and Boarding).
TaraSitara’s Rocks and Pebbles is a free-roam board. This means that we do not leash or cage the dogs. We have innovative, “one of a kind” offerings like the Dog School and curated, un-leashed group treks (Sniffaris), along with the traditional ones like boarding and grooming. Some of the highlights of the physical spaces we have are:
1. Space where dogs can be unleashed.
2. Opportunity to participate in enriching activities as per their needs Sniffing, Chewing, Digging, Walking, and Socializing with other dogs and/or humans.
3. Promote dog-to-dog interactions and improve their communication and collaboration skills.
We serve around 1500 pets in and around Delhi NCR.
