Overview

Canada and India have longstanding bilateral relations built upon shared traditions of democracy, pluralism, and strong interpersonal connections. To deepen the collaboration between the 2 countries, a startup bridge along with a mentorship program is proposed to be launched on the 6th of December in collaboration with The Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC).

The startup bridge aims to enable startups, investors, incubators, corporates, and aspiring entrepreneurs of both countries and to connect and provide them with resources to expand and become globalized startups. This bridge shall serve as the technology infrastructure and common platform via which future joint programs will be run.

The proposed mentorship series will be an efficient way for cross-border collaboration and market expansion where Indian startups that are keen to explore Canada as a market will get the opportunity to get mentored. Some of the proposed sessions as part of the series are focussed on the overview of the Canadian Startup Ecosystem, the Canadian Startup VISA Program, accessing the Canadian market amongst others.
