Unnecessary harm to the animals and the environment for leather and leather products in the fashion industry made me realize that a change needs to be brought about to save the planet and bring it back to its natural state. Having stayed in Africa and working closely with climate-related issues and the environment in general, there was a strong urge in me to shift the consumers towards slow fashion and minimalism in their fashion habits. Following a slow fashion approach and encouraging conscious consumerism would not only mean lesser harm to the environment but would also mean highly durable, eco-friendly, and sustainable statement pieces. When I returned to India, I met my co-founder, Anubhav, who shared the same ideologies and beliefs. That is when our brainchild, Green Hermitage was born. What Green Hermitage is today is a result of all the ideologies and beliefs that have been combined to meet sustainability, innovation and style which has come to life through our products.
