As the successor to the first edition, National Startup Awards 2021 has recognised and rewarded outstanding startups and enablers that have demonstrated exceptional capabilities, not just in terms of financial gains but also creating a measurable impact in society.
The National Startup Awards 2021 covered the flagship schemes launched by the Government of India through innovations in corresponding areas, thereby solving community problems at large. Consideration is also being given to champion sectors identified by the Government with a focus on improving India’s manufacturing capabilities towards the mission of an “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”.

As part of the recognition process for the National Startup Awards 2021, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade will award winners a cash prize for their contributions, as well as governmental support.
One winning startup in each sub-sector will be awarded a cash prize of INR 5 lakh
One winning incubator will be awarded a cash prize of INR 15 lakh
One winning accelerator will be awarded a cash prize of INR 15 lakh
Identifying and celebrating innovations across 15 sectors, 49 sub-sectors and 6 special categories
